Improve Your WINTER Sports Performance

Some of us dread it . . . and some of us love it.  WINTER!  And if you love winter, I’ll bet you love getting outdoors and doing some fun winter sports!

Instead of going into hibernation mode, get excited about trying a new winter activity.  Ice skating, skiing, sledding or snow shoes are great ways to exercise and have fun.   Just know when you change up your fitness activities, you can be sore and achy when you begin.  That is why I came up with these exercises to help you prepare for winter play.

Take it slow in the beginning and work on form.  As your skill level improves, progress the exercises as noted in the videos.

If you’re new to these activities, look into renting your gear in the beginning.  Places like the Urban Ecology Center, Red Arrow Park and many more facilities rent equipment.

When you get hooked, make the investment so you can look forward to the next winter season of fun outdoor play.
