Ellen Miller- Success Story
After a visit to her doctor, elevated cholesterol levels gave Ellen the wakeup call that it was time to do something about her health. After starting her workouts in September of 2014, she was pleasantly surprised in the New Year to see her cholesterol levels improve to healthy levels she has not seen in years.
At Wild, Ellen has lost almost 15 pounds and over 5% body fat. Ellen does not let hand and wrist pain get in the way of her health. Instead she enjoys unlimited workouts and the help she gets from the trainers to avoid exercises that would cause further aggravation to her hands.
We asked Ellen a few questions about her journey at Wild Workouts and Wellness.
What results have you achieved since starting your program?
The most significant to me is that my cholesterol level is now normal and I am not on any medication for it! In fact my HDL Cholesterol (the good cholesterol) is higher than the 2 months I was on medication. I have also changed my eating habits (not a diet) and lost almost 15 pounds. I am also working out regularly, usually at least 4 times a week, doing classes at wild and adding in Yoga and walking. Hoping to add biking soon.
What do you like best about our program/having a trainer?
All the trainers are great at Wild. Due to the times I work out, I usually have Jaime. He is so encouraging and kind. He pushes you to do better while understanding the accommodations needed. He takes time with each person as they need it. The workouts can be tough, but they really pay off. On days I do not feel good, or do not feel like working out, I always feel better after the workout.
What would you say to someone on the fence about joining our program?
It is so worth it! Stick with the program and results will come. I know I felt really self-conscious at the beginning. Everyone is in the same boat and all the trainers as well at the people who come to work out at Wild are supportive and helpful.
