Amy Schubert Success Story
Amy joined Wild after our Summer Slimdown Challenge. She was our big winner and one a free month of boot camp workouts. From there she decided to continue her weight-loss journey with Wild. We are so pleased with her progress so far.
Amy is a mom of two darling girls, and found it difficult to exercise on her own and get motivated during the day. Once she started coming to Wild, she found the motivation and the accountability she was seeking.
We are so proud of Amy and her success. We sat down and asked her a few questions and here is what she had to say….
|What made you decide you wanted/needed to start a program?I actually wasn’t expecting to join, let alone enjoy Wild, but I needed some new motivation. Exercise was always a big part of my life before I got pregnant with our second daughter. I had been a competitive cheerleader in high school and played pickup soccer, volleyball and hurling for years. I also had been an avid runner. But it was a long, cold winter in 2013-2014 and most days too cold and slippery to even go for a walk outside. After Carsyn was born, I tried running again but it was hard to motivate, and I was slow with the baby jogger. With a stressful job and little kids at home, I never could seem to make the time for me to work out alone. My experience at Wild changed that. I won the Summer Slimdown, which earned me a free unlimited month, and I haven’t looked back. What results have you achieved since starting your program?
Including the 3 lbs I gained when I started building muscle at Wild the first few weeks, I’m down over 16 pounds to date. I’ve lost over 10 inches on my body, and my body fat has decreased several percentage points. I can do upright rows with 44lbs which is just amazing to me, and I can do real, honest to goodness push-ups. I’m only a few pounds from my dream weight and look better than I have, maybe ever.
What do you like best about our program/having a trainer?
I love working out in Jamie’s classes. He is the perfect balance of coach and cheerleader, and has great interpersonal skills. His workouts are tough, but fun, and I like how in tune he is with my limitations and my need to be pushed a bit at times. When I recently plateaued, he talked me through increasing my weights for lifting, calmed my nerves about bulking up, and continued to check on me at every class. And he was right- in a few weeks, I started seeing results again.
What would you say to someone on the fence about joining our program?
Wild is well worth the investment in yourself to meet your goals, but first you need to commit to yourself, and believe that you are worth the time and money to get to a healthier place. Once you’re there, Wild helps make your goals completely achievable in an enjoyable, efficient way.
